Smart City

       The Smart City Research Center is currently an internationally leading research group in fields such as major infectious disease prevention and control, smart cities, emergency disaster prevention and early warning, and artificial intelligence. The entire team comprises 12 members (including part-time), with 4 dual-appointed Principal Investigators (PIs), 1 Research Assistant Professor, and 1 Senior Research Scholar. Over the years, the Smart City Research Center has been engaged in research on the prediction of the spread of major infectious diseases in cities, the prediction and simulation of human mobility at the urban scale, new-generation urban emergency management technologies, new-generation natural disaster prevention technologies, and new-generation intelligent transportation technologies. Through long-term and systematic research, the team has accumulated a substantial foundation for theoretical applications. In the past five years, the research team has published over 200 papers in various high-level international journals and conferences, with more than 130 papers appearing in JCR Q1 journals or recommended as Class A (CCF A) by the China Computer Federation. Multiple articles from the research team have been cited in the project solicitation guidelines on urban human mobility prediction and urban emergency management (with a total project funding of USD 10 million) released by the U.S. Department of Defense.
